Ouro Preto and Mariana revisited

I went back to Ouro Preto and Mariana again. It was raining a lot there around Christmas, which created some landslides. In the picture below you can see the bus station and a destroyed hill in the background.

The picture above shows a typical street in Ouro Preto. I took the picture using a colour sketch function on the camera.

The house in the picture above closely follows the street as long as possible, until it becomes really narrow.

The picture above shows a typical dessert - petit gateau. It is really tasty, with liquid chocolate inside the cake. The best thing here is that the chocolate is homemade, so it is very fresh and really tasty.

Above is a not so typical beer. I saw in the menu that a pub in Ouro Preto had mint beer, so I had to try it. It didn't taste as weird as it sounds and actually wasn't that bad. Well, one of them was more than enough.

I found a Scotch and Art pub in Mariana. I don't know exactly what it means, but Mariana is famous for being a good place for a lot of artists. I have also seen a lot of "scoth" bars in Belo Horizonte. Yes, they are very often called scoth bars and not Scotch bars...
They more or less don't know anything about whisky here in Brazil. In most places here they have three choices of whisky: red label, black label and blue label of Johnnie Walker. In some places and in shops they typically have a couple more kinds of blended whisky, but no single malts.
